WILMINGTON- ‘Tis the season of Halloween, and along with the changing foliage, Adams Farm adds to its fall schedule with spooky stories and frightful fun. From now to October 18, Adams Farm will offer their annual old-fashioned Halloween wagon rides.

The party begins with a tractor-pulled wagon ride to a log cabin deep in the forest for refreshments and original New England ghost stories. Guests will enjoy hot mulled cider and homemade doughnuts while the Adams family engages the audience in original New England ghost tales as ghouls emerge from the evening mist.

Rides begin at 6:15 pm and continue throughout the night, and are also available on the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend, October 12.

Reservations are required. Cost is $15.95 for adults and $9.95 for children ages 4 to 12. Children under 4 are admitted free.

In addition to the evening activities at Adams Farm, there is an abundance to do during the day. Fall foliage wagon rides take guests through the maple sugar grove where they learn about the farm’s history and maple production. Then, it’s on to the trout pond, all the time enjoying the sensational colors. There are farm animals to visit, agricultural and fiber art demonstrations throughout the weekend, sheep herding demonstrations with the farm’s working border collies and flock of Merino sheep, pony rides, hop balls, pedal tractor track, hay jump, an outdoor activity area, and the opportunity to get lost in the 2008 corn maze.

Visitors to Adams Farm will get to sample the different grades of maple syrup made at the farm. The sugar maple is Vermont’s official state tree as well as an integral part of the economy.
