To The Editor:

Thank you for the great coverage of our Deerfield Valley Rotary Gardens of Hope, celebrating the victory of all cancer survivors in the Deerfield Valley.

Let me clarify one item in the newspaper article which we may have inadvertedly left with the readers. The selection of yellow and pink flower gardens does not mean we are interested only in breast cancer (pink) or testicular cancer (yellow) survivors. We look to celebrate in our Gardens of Hope the victory of all survivors over cancer.

Cancer survivors who wish to join our celebration by planting a garden should call Ann Manwaring at (802) 464-2150 or Beth Green at (802) 464-8357.

We again thank our sponsors: Dover Economic Development Committee; Southwestern Vermont Cancer Center; Deerfield Valley Health Care Volunteers; Southwest Vermont Medical Center-Deerfield Valley Advisory Board; and individuals and businesses who have contributed to the purchase of materials.

All labor in the planting and maintenance of the Gardens of Hope will consist of volunteers from the Deerfield Valley Rotary and cancer survivors.

Don Albano, on behalf of the Deerfield Valley Rotary

Dover
