The Matterhorn’s Joe Kruzewski takes a big swing.
DOVER- More than 70 golfers took advantage of a day without rain to play in the 11th annual Mount Snow Valley Chamber Golf Tournament held Friday, June 19, at Mount Snow. The tournament was rescheduled from the previous day.

The winning team (gross) was Mark Wallace, Ken Spicer, Mirek Formanek, and Darrell Lamontagne; the winning team (net) was Jack Tosone, Rob Diaz, Adam Palmiter, and Nick Roth.

The longest drive contest was won by Gordon Lucas (men) and Mary Anne Liberator (women); closest to the pin winners were Adam Palmiter and Tara Bourne; closest to the line winners were Andy Schindel and Sue Byron. Robert Diaz was also the lucky winner of a three-night stay in Antigua, raffled off by the Antigua and Barbuda Tourist Board. In the $5,000 putting contest sponsored by Ken Lady of Mountain Insurance, no one sunk the 50-foot putt to win the $5,000, but Bruce Mullen came the closest (for the second year in a row) and walked away with a GPS system.
