Spring concert planned in Jamaica

JAMAICA- The West River Valley Chorus will hold a spring concert performance, “A Tribute to American Composers,” on May 31, at 7 pm. The concert will be held at the newly renovated Jamaica Town Hall.

This concert features works by Randall Thompson, Samuel Barber, Aaron Copland, George M. Cohan, and the musical theater duo of Rodgers and Hammerstein. A reception will follow and a freewill, offering basket will be available for those who would like to help keep the concerts free.

The chorus will also make a special appearance at the Memorial Day ceremony in Townshend presented by the American Legion, on May 25.
