The DVCC would like to thank Mount Snow once again for their generosity. Each year they have given us a share of the proceeds from the Employee Appreciation Days they hold throughout the winter. It comes at the end of the heating season, but fills a very real need for us.
At this time of year, we are nearly out of money, just as we have to begin our efforts to raise the funds needed for the coming winter. Those fund-raising efforts take a lot of work, but also require that we spend some money to get things up and running. Printing costs to produce the calendar, money to fund our fuel raffle, mailing costs for our annual appeal letter that goes out in August, and this year, startup costs for the “Best Dam Walk in Vermont” we intend to run in the fall, are the main things we have to find a way to pay for. The $5,000 donation that we received this week from Mount Snow will make it possible for us to get started raising money for next winter.
There are a lot of people in this valley who will need some type of help heating their homes this coming winter. Your donation ensures that we can get ready to meet as many of those needs as possible. We are very grateful to Mount Snow for their continued support.
