RUTLAND- The Vermont Golf Association will hold six one-day tournaments during the week of May 18. State Days will be held at The Golf Club at Equinox, Monday, May 18; Orleans Country Club, Tuesday, May 19; West Bolton Golf Club, Wednesday, May 20; Haystack Golf Club, Thursday, May 21; and Basin Harbor Country Club, Thursday, May 21. Neshobe Golf Club Senior Day will compete on Wednesday, May 20.

State Day formats are 18 holes, stroke play for low gross and net scores. The tournament is played in three flights determined by GHIN handicap (0-10, 11-16, and 17-36). Any amateur golfer with a current GHIN handicap (and GHIN card) is eligible to participate.

For The Golf Club at Equinox State Day, tee times and prepayment is required through the Vermont Golf Association, (800) 924-0418.

For Orleans Country Club, West Bolton Golf Club, Haystack Golf Club, and Basin Harbor Country Club State Days, tee times may be reserved directly by calling the club.

For Neshobe Golf Club Senior Day, the format is 18 holes shotgun start, stroke play for low gross and net scores. The tournament is played in three flights determined by GHIN handicap (0-10, 11-16, and 17-36). Any amateur golfer 55 or older with a current GHIN handicap (and GHIN card) is eligible to participate. Tee times and prepayment for Neshobe Golf Club Senior Day should be made through the Vermont Golf Association, (800) 924-0418.

Proceeds from Vermont Golf Association Tournaments and State Day events support the Vermont First Tee National School Program and scholarships for Vermont high school and college scholars.
