The bulk of Coleman’s work is vivid pastels of local scenes and Vermont landscapes in all four seasons. True to form, Lake Whitingham is the feature of her 8-feet-tall chair, “The Crown Jewel of Southern Vermont,” which she painted for River Valley Market as part of this year’s Mount Snow Area Chamber of Commerce fundraiser. Acute observers will note the artist depicted sailing in a Sunfish on the seat of the chair.
Coleman simply cannot resist any splash of captivating floral color such as the Japanese poppy she painted for the Wardsboro Library auction coming up on August 9.
Besides Quaigh Designs, her work can be found at River Valley Market, Vermont Country Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, and Ratu’s Liquor Store.
