To the Editor,

I am writing in support of Tom Fitzgerald as a write-in candidate for the two-year term on the Wilmington Selectboard.

I’ve known Tom for 40 years. He and I were teaching colleagues when he first came to Wilmington. Later on I had the pleasure of teaching his four children.

Tom has been a member of the Wilmington Board of Civil Authority, the Wilmington School Board, and a justice of the peace. He is currently a member of the economic development sub-committee of “Wilmington Works.” Through the years Tom has also been involved with a variety of other local government and community organizations.

Throughout the time I have known and worked with Tom I have found him to be an attentive and thoughtful listener. He understands complex issues and makes decisions based on a fair and practical consideration of the facts. I believe he is very well-suited to serve on our town selectboard.

Please join me in writing in his name for the two-year term on Wilmington’s selectboard.

Dave Larsen
