To the Editor,

Sally Gore and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone we contacted this summer who worked at the Deerfield Valley Farmers Day Fair at the entry gate and ticket booth to benefit the Wilmington Historical Society.

We recently received a check from the fair association in the amount of $1,340 for our efforts. The Historical Society plans to put this money in our building fund for a future shed which will house our antique doctor’s buggy, sleigh, and other farm implements.

This is a fine example of many volunteers coming together and donating a small amount of time but making a big difference for a worthy cause. Sally and I are thrilled with the results. All of our volunteers did a great job and we plan to call you again next year.

Sincerely,

Diane Chapman

Historical Society treasurer
