If you were in Walpole, NH, on Saturday, September 21, you may have seen what you thought was a small meteor shower happening over the Hooper Golf Course. In actuality, what you saw were glowing golf balls shooting across the course in support of the Windham County Safe Place. Our first ever night golf tournament was a blast, and if you missed out, we hope to see you next year. We would like to thank Brattleboro Ford Subaru for co-sponsoring the event, and also thank Ben & Jerry’s Community Action Team, the Brattleboro Community Justice Center, the Vermont Country Store, W&B Maintenance and the Richards Group for their support of this event and our cause.
We’d like to extend congratulations to the team from Brattleboro Ford Subaru, who won the tournament. We expect they will be back next year to defend their title.
We’d also like to thank Ron Rosko and Hooper Golf Club for hosting us, and Father’s restaurant for providing us with a delicious meal between rounds.
Windham County Safe Place is dedicated to supporting victims of child abuse and sexual assault in our community. If you’d like to learn more about the work we do, you can contact our office at (802) 579-1358 or visit us at www.safeplacecac.net.
