To the Editor:

John Moran has served Windham-Bennington 1 district admirably for the past two years and definitely should be returned to Montpelier for a second term. As state representative, he has kept the needs of the towns he serves—Stamford, Readsboro, Searsburg, Somerset, Dover, and Wardsboro—firmly in mind.

During the past session, John worked on legislation concerning housing, energy, transportation, health care, veterans affairs, and many other issues that are important to the wellbeing of all Vermonters. Two principles have guided his actions: maintaining local control over education, and preventing any noneducational use of the statewide residential property tax, which he continues to work hard to eliminate.

John’s voting record is clear evidence of his concern for the residents in his district. It also shows him to be the intelligent, conscientious, and dedicated legislator that these towns deserve. John Moran deserves your vote in November.
