WILMINGTON- Bartleby’s Books will host four renowned authors at the Vermont Life Wine and Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 27, at 12 pm.

Stop by Bartleby’s to meet Tom Fels, author of “Farm Friends.” “Farm Friends” begins on a communal farm in 1969 and continues as a personal chronicle of the author and his extended family up to the present day. Written in a clear and literate manner, “Farm Friends” is intended as a readable history, stories interwoven into an ongoing narrative that suggests the fabric of an entire generation. The book was recently reviewed in the New York Times Book Review.

Tracey Medeiros is the author of “Dishing Up Vermont.” This insider’s view of Vermont cooking is rounded out with profiles of the people and places that make the state’s food scene so exciting. Here are classically trained chefs, home bakers, farmers, winemakers, comfort-food cooks, beekeepers, orchard and sugar-shack owners, craft brewers, and all the other foodies who keep Vermont traditions alive while developing vibrant new flavor combinations that respect the integrity of the raw ingredients.

Ellen Ogden is the author of “The Vermont Cheese Book.” “The Vermont Cheese Book” includes all of the farmers and cheese makers who are members of the Vermont Cheese Council, a trade organization of close to three dozen Vermont cheese makers, whose goal is to advance the production and image of premier cheeses from Vermont.

Melissa Pasanen is the author of “Cooking with Shelburne Farms.” “Cooking with Shelburne Farms” celebrates food from the land and the people who bring it to the table.

Featuring more than 100 recipes with Vermont ingredients, there are also historical anecdotes about Shelburne Farms and the stories of farmers, cheesemakers, and foragers.

All books will be available for purchase with authors on hand for signing and conversation.

The Vermont Life Wine and Harvest Festival is a showcase for Vermont wines, Vermont specialty foods, and artisans of all types celebrating the rich uniqueness, quality, and ingenuity of Vermont producers. The weekend includes a welcome bluegrass barbecue, wine pairing dinners, a harvest breakfast, and a two-day festival on Saturday, September 27, from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, September 28, from 10 am to 3 pm at the intersection of routes 9 and 100 in Wilmington.
