READSBORO- Joyce Jeanette (Bosley) Russell, 80, a resident of Bosley Hill, died in the company of her newfound friends at Vernon Green Nursing Home on May 8.

She was born April 4, 1933 in the Valley Hospital in Readsboro to William and Myrtle (Berard) Bosley. She attended grade school in South Readsboro and two years of high school in the village of Readsboro.

She was employed at the Readsboro Chair Shop at the age of 16. She worked for many years as a waitress for Whitcomb Summit on the Mohawk Trail. Her last employment was for Hogback Mountain and Southern Vermont Museum in Marlboro.

Mrs. Russell loved her family and all types of animals especially birds, dogs, and cats.

She leaves a daughter and son-in-law Candace and Michael Redin, of Wilmington, stepson Anthony Russell, of Gardiner, ME, grandchildren, Catherine, Alf, Nicole, Tanya, and Cody, great-grandchildren, Eddie, Taytin, Josh, and Hannah, brother Robert Bosley and wife Isabel, of Readsboro, sister Jane and husband Donald Boyd, of Whitingham, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by two sons, Richard Dean Bowen and William Alfred Bowen, sister Betty Ann Bosley, brothers William Jr. and Edward “Pat” Bosley, and her husband, Stanley (Mike) Russell.
