READSBORO- Discover one of Readsboro’s local treasures. Join Readsboro Arts for a special springtime ArtsMeet and tour the Daffodil Meadow at North Hill with Joe Eck, on Sunday, May 5, from 2 to 4 pm. Proceeds from this garden tour benefit Readsboro Arts and support Readsboro Arts programs and the annual Arts Festival.

Celebrated master gardener and author Joe Eck will read passages from “Our Life in Gardens” (2009) and “To Eat,” his most recent book, which comes out in June. He will then lead a springtime stroll through his beautiful gardens.

North Hill’s 1.5-acre daffodil meadow is home to more than 25,000 bulbs in dozens of varieties. It will take your breath away.

Eck, together with the late Wayne Winterrowd, established their garden design firm, North Hill, in Readsboro in 1977. They were co-authors of several books including “A Year at North Hill: Four Seasons in a Vermont Garden” and “Living Seasonally: The Kitchen Garden and the Table at North Hill.”

For more information about North Hill, and to see beautiful photographs of the garden, please visit www.northhillgarden.com.

Space is limited to 25 places and pre-registration is required. Cost $20. Call Mary Angus at (802) 423-7706 to register.

Readsboro Arts is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation supporting the growth of the arts in Readsboro and surrounding communities. For more information about Readsboro Arts or ArtsMeet events visit www.readsboroarts.org.
