DOVER- Mount Snow Academy began its season immediately after Thanksgiving. MSA students have been hard at work, doing fitness drills and dry-land exercises to prepare themselves for a season of training and competition in alpine and freestyle skiing, and various snowboard disciplines. The competition season will begin in earnest on the weekend of January 5 and 6.

The academy is delighted to announce the addition of Robby Sullivan as the new head coach for the freestyle program. Sullivan comes to MSA with a long history as a skier, competitor, and coach. He began skiing at age 2 at Attitash, started competing there locally at age 5, and moved up through the ranks to eventually become a member of their pro freestyle team. After several years of pro competition, Sullivan began coaching, first at Attitash, then Cranmore, and most recently at Carrabassett Valley Academy at Sugarloaf.

This year, he has taken over the Mount Snow Academy team, and promptly taken them off for an early-season training trip to Keystone and Breckenridge, CO.

They’ll be back for the holidays, tuned and ready for an exciting season.
