SEARSBURG- Clesson Charles “Chuckie” Bernal II, 42, a resident of Route 9, died December 9 at his home. Mr. Bernal was born on May 25, 1970, the son of Clesson Charles Bernal and Carol Swazy. Mr. Bernal attended school in Wilmington and graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School in Bennington.

Mr. Bernal worked as a custodial and maintenance person. He loved fishing, listening to country music, and was an avid NASCAR fan, even attending a couple of NASCAR races. Mr. Bernal is survived by his father, Clesson Charles Bernal, of Searsburg; his sisters, Heather Berry, of Whitingham, and Evangie Bernal, of Bennington; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Bernal, September 24, 2011.

Funeral services for Mr. Bernal will be private. There are no visiting hours.
