Twin Valley School Board members Seth Boyd, left, and Phil Taylor, dig the first shovel of dirt at a groundbreaking ceremony to kick off construction at Deerfield Valley Elementary School on Monday. The new addition will allow DVES and Whitingham Elementary schools to combine at the Wilmington location, and is the first phase of renovations approved by voters this past summer. Work in Whitingham for the new high school will begin in 2013.
