The school opens along with the resort on Thursday, while Burton Riglet Park, which is an introduction to snowboarding for 3-6-year-olds, opens on Sunday. Riglet is the only park at Mount Snow that is officially affiliated with Burton, but the resort is introducing its own freestyle by progression.
The Riglet is the beginning portion, aimed to change the dynamics of a traditional snowboarding lesson with boards tethered between adults and children, rather than a follow-along lesson.
The next level is Giblit, a small features park located at Coopers Junction. This park allows instructors to bring classes that are interested in learning how to hit freestyle features. The third level is Grommet, another learning park located on Carinthia, for adults.
The programs are offered for all ages. To learn more or to reserve a spot in a learning program call Mount Snow ski and snowboard school at (888) 889-4411.
