To the Editor:

The Village Stroll Committee would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who helped make Halloween in Wilmington village a huge success. An event like this would not be possible without the support of so many community members. Many thanks to the pumpkin drilling artists, those who donated pumpkins, the many businesses who provided treats for the trick-or-treaters, and the families who supported the evening. It was particularly heartwarming to have so much of our extended community join us in town in the aftermath of Sandy. Special thanks to Dale Doucette and his assistant Michele for their pumpkin carving talents and the Shippee family for their donation of the enormous pumpkin. Please consider planting some pumpkin seeds next year and have your pumpkin(s) included in the Halloween hoopla. Check out photos at www.facebook.com/wilmingtonvillagestrolls.
