To the Editor:

I am writing to express my sincere thanks to all of the businesses, volunteers, and sponsors who made the 2012 Vermont Life Wine & Harvest Festival such a success. The strong support of the towns of Dover and Wilmington, along with the generous partnership in our host facility, Mount Snow Resort, and numerous local sponsors, are all recognized as fundamental in the viability of this event, second only to the volunteers.

With well over 750 strollers walking the village of Wilmington Friday evening and over 1,885 attendees on Saturday and Sunday at Mount Snow Resort, the event can only be described as a resounding success. None of this would be possible without the tireless efforts of a few key people: committee members, Cheryl LaFlamme-Rothman, Bobbie Dee Molitor, Carolyn Lucas, Matt Gebo, Tim Dolan, Kristen Wallace, Joe Kruszewski, Wendy Torroni, Chris Jalbert, and Lorraine Muha. Additionally we benefited from the generous and ever effective donation of time and work from George Newton and Regina Werner.

With over 70 volunteers who participated Friday and Saturday, we regret that we do not have the space here to thank them all. This event brought in well over $500,000 in economic impact to the valley and we would like to make it clear this is all the result of volunteer efforts.

Together we can do amazing things and this event is proof positive- we are back and better than ever.

Thank you for your participation in your community.

Adam Grinold

Director, Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce.
