Kids of Courage organizes adventure trips for people with serious illnesses that cause severe physical impairment. Most illnesses are extremely rare and often life threatening. Participants and their volunteers travel from throughout the country to New York City, where Kids of Courage arranges the trip from New York to Vermont for their Mount Snow adventure.
The day will begin with an 11 am welcome celebration at the Grand Summit Hotel. The public is invited to join AbilityPLUS and Kids of Courage volunteers and staff to kick off the day.
AbilityPLUS is in its 15th year of enriching the lives of program participants, their families, friends, and a growing community of venues and volunteers who work to provide adaptive sports and recreation for individuals with all manner of disabilities. AbilityPLUS is partnered with Disabled Sports USA to serve soldiers with various injuries, including amputations, brain injuries, burns, visual and hearing impairments and all forms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other emotional scars.
