WILMINGTON– On Friday and Saturday, September 23 and 24, nine bands from three different states will join together to help save businesses in the village of Wilmington, that were devastated by the floodwaters of Tropical Storm Irene. Floodstock VT, a two-day musical festival, will raise money to be distributed directly to businesses who can and want to reopen.

The event will kick-off on Friday, September 23, at 6 pm, at the Snow Barn in Dover. Five bands will play, including Mass Air Flow of Boston; John Brazile, of Worcester, MA; The Miles Band, of Wilmington; Castle, of Newport, RI; and Daj Ray also, of Newport.

On Saturday, September 24, at 12 pm, Entrain, of Vineyard Haven, MA, kicks off the festivities at Adams Farm. Following Entrain’s performance will be a special presentation by the TVHS and Whitingham Middle School Chorus directed by Sue Maddern. The Boxcar Lillies of Ashland, MA, take to the stage at 2:15 pm followed by Jeff Campbell & the Honeybadgers, of Readsboro, VT at 3:30 pm. Be sure not to miss all the great food, vendors, including Jezebels and Anchor Seafood, and children’s activities at the farm. There will also be a live cow raffled off.

Capping off the weekend will be a Saturday night concert in the ballroom at the Grand Summit hotel at Mount Snow at 6 pm. Four bands will play including Shawn Tooley, of Portland, ME; Damaged Therapy, of Wilmington; Peter Miles, of Wilmington; and Mister Dix, of West Dover.

Ticket prices for the Snowbarn show are $25. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 7 and up, and free for children 6 and under for the concert at Adams Farm. Saturday night at Mount Snow the tickets are $30 per person. Advanced ticket sales for all events can be purchased at www.mountsnow.com or at the door at the time of the event.

One hundred percent of the entertainment, infrastructure, venues, and staffing for the event has been donated, which means that 100% of the ticket sales and donations received will be distributed to businesses in need.
