To the Editor:

Though I lost, I still won.

I want to thank all the residents of Dover who put my name on the ballot to run for selectman to be a voice for you for the two-year and three-year term. Also thank you for all the voters who believe in me that voted for what they wanted to see take place.Victoria Capitani won the two-year seat and Linda Holland won the three-year seat and I saw them take the oath of office. During the time of running for office I talked with both of them, we have some of the same direction they would like to see Dover go as you do. As a voter, I believe they will do what is best for us and will listen to the concerns you have. I want to encourage the residents and non-residents to come to the selectboard’s meetings and voice your opinion on a regular basis.

It is goverment for the people by the people not by the politician by the politician. I want to encourage all the selectboard to work together as a team and get proper information to be able to communicate in an understanding manner so every person can understand what you are saying. Come to the meetings prepared. Nona Monis is your assistant administrator, to give you all a report and an agenda before the meeting, what will take place. If you are too busy to represent the people then I say step down and let someone who wants to put the time into that position. It is position of serving the people of Dover and this takes a lot more time than two meetings a month. Now my final thought be courteous to all who have a question; do not put anyone down by your actions, they are the ones who place you in office. Listen to them, they may have a better way than yours or put both ideals together to make a winning solution. Thank you to all, God bless. I’ll be back.
