To the Editor,

If you have not been to the Pettee Memorial Library lately, you should check it out.

The new librarian, Allison Smith, does a fabulous job displaying the books. The first stack as you enter the main room has all the new nonfiction, fiction, and special section of books on the shelves organized by theme.

This month is March Madness and it’s not about basketball. While choosing a few, I opened the new Nora Roberts book and was stunned to find tucked inside the cover a $20 and $10 bill. $30! I went to Allison and said, “is this a stunt or a scavenger hunt?” She was just as surprised as I was. What a treat on a glooming first day of spring, especially to me on a limited income, at the end of a long dreary winter. So thank you, good samaritan, and I will pay it forward some day!

Nancy Cornell
