Mr. Taylor and his wife purchased a property from Boney B. Cooper in East Dover in 1958. There were barns and sheds on the property that the Taylors were purchasing.
Boney agreed to sell the property with the condition that he could use the barns and sheds to store equipment, implements, and firewood. His livestock and his horse “Bubbles” had the right to use the pasture and shed for as long as they lived. The Taylors loved horses and graciously accepted Boney’s conditions.
The Taylors raised a small herd of beefalo cattle together with Sonny Brown. They spent many hours enjoying the beautiful view, feeding Maureen’s beloved chipmunk, Maxi, and listening to the faint sound of cowbells.
