He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid and accomplished trap shooter who won several events.
He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with his wife Geraldine in their camper; they had visited almost every state. He was a member of the Nelson E. Pickwell American Legion Post 15, ATA Trap Shooting, and Ducks Unlimited.
Mr. Christensen was first married to Gail Arnold in 1954; they divorced in 1965. After many years of being friends with Geraldine (Dunn) Boyd, they married on February 14, 1990 and spent many years living in St. Petersburg, FL, before moving to Wilmington two years ago.
In addition to his wife, he leaves sons, Charles and wife Gale Christensen, of Auburn, NH, and Carl and wife Judy Christensen, of Petersburgh, NY; daughter, Patricia and husband Dave Butler, of Savannah, GA; stepson, Randall Boyd, of Wilmington; stepdaughters, Pamela and husband Clark Parris, of Halifax, and Lynn and husband Alan Davis, of Wilmington; brother, Andy and wife Joyce Christensen of Rochester, NY; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, three step-greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two step-grandchildren, Eric Davis and Crystal Wendell, and step-daughter-in-law, Teresa Boyd.
