JACKSONVILLE- The Windham Southwest Supervisory Community Program is a transition program for students with disabilities.

Students practice their work skills by volunteering throughout the community. Two young men have been volunteering at the Deerfield Valley Senior Meals program in Jacksonville.

The Deerfield Valley Senior Meals program is organized and run by volunteers Terrie and David Dumaine, and serves lunch twice a week to local seniors.

In addition to volunteering their time and efforts for seniors, the Dumaines also support students from the community program in learning and practicing their work and social skills while helping set up and clean up the senior luncheon. The students enjoy their jobs helping senior residents, and made festive holiday centerpieces and table favors for the guests.
