To the Editor:

The Dover Day Committee is pleased to invite you to this year’s event which will be held on Saturday, September 29, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Dover Elementary School.

While there will be the usual fun, food, and entertainment for the whole family, this is the first time that Mike Clough will be on hand to share his live animal exhibit, including birds of prey. As assistant director of the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum at Hogback Mountain, Mike is very much in his element when it comes to sharing his knowledge of the wonderful animal kingdom which surrounds us. In addition to experiencing the numerous items on display, many hands-on, those who visit his tent will also learn the latest news about the large cage which is being built to house an injured eagle.

Rain or shine, in addition to this natural history exhibit, you will enjoy local crafts, a living history display, a jumpy house, live music, free food and drink, along with popcorn, baked beans, straddle bugs, syrup, and pancakes. Come spend some time with family, friends, and neighbors. We very much look forward to seeing you on September 29.

For the Dover Day Committee,

Patti Buck
