To the Editor:

The votes are in...Dover Day 2012 was a huge success. And it is all due to the outpouring of community spirit that makes our little town so great a place to live. We could not do it without you.

Thank you to the amazing Gina Sarlo and Mount Snow for an abundance of supplies; Bill Anton for use of the Dover School; our extraordinary “chefs of the day” Sandy Bartlett, Ken Black, Dave Cerchio, Mike Anelli, Gary Carruthers, Lucy and Jack Imperatore, Mike Purcell, and Andy McLean; Tony Tribuno for all the drinks; Patty Buck for her veggie burgers; the muscle power of Jesse Corbeil, Gary Eckert, Joe Kruszewski, Warren Bartlett, John Abel, and Logan Sherman along with the fire department’s tents; maple syrup from providers Dana Bemis, Sonny Brown, Tim Francescetti, and Tim Snow; our pumpkin grower, Roscoe Shippee; the Rotary and Kids in the Country for delicious popcorn and cotton candy; Chuck Davison’s Wood and Steel band; Mike Clough of the Natural History Museum for an awesome presentation; our talented artists Tamara Allen, Linda Anelli, Deana Asborno, Pam Dudley, Jeannette Eckert, Bonnie LeMay, Nancie McLean, Linda Sherman, Sid Sherman, and Annette Woodcock-Abel; Emily Heath, of West Dover Church; John Moran and Marshall Brooks of Dover Democrats; Dover Economic Development for providing the needed funds; and last but by no means least, all the children and folks of Dover who came and enjoyed.

We look forward to seeing you all next year.

With many thanks,

The Dover Day Committee
