Presenters include Deb Boudrieau and Stephen Paddock from the Vermont Small Business Development Center. They will talk about resources for businesses in various stages from startup to growth to transition for retirement. They can answer questions about how and where you can get assistance with expertise and financing.
Don Jamison, Executive Director of the Vermont Employee Ownership Center, will give a deeper talk about succession planning. To be discussed are various paths for succession, and the pros and cons of each. Also to be discussed are what resources (lawyer, accountant, etc.) are needed to get there.
Drew Kervick, attorney, (Dunkiel Saunders) will answer some small business FAQs like “Should I incorporate and how?” John Meyer, CPA (Piaciak and Co.) will answer the most-asked accounting questions of small business owners. R.T. Brown and Adam Grinold, of BDCC, will also be on hand with more information about available loan programs and additional state and local resources.
