When did we lose our moral compass?

To the Editor,

When did we lose our moral compass and not care what people say in mixed company?

When did it become OK for locker room talk to be acceptable in front of women and not one man stand up and object? Shame on them.

When did women think it was OK to join in and demean the rest of us? Shame on them.

And someone say ‘that’s broken the ice.’ Whose ice? Not mine, I wasn’t brought up in that atmosphere as I’m sure most of the older people weren’t.

Unfortunately, the younger generation use bad language as the norm, shame on them. I was led to believe that it showed lack of vocabulary.

What is this world coming to when you feel your only escape from being verbally abused is to go to the ladies room?

This won’t change those people but maybe they will think twice the next time they are in mixed company, not everyone thinks it’s funny but that it is offensive.
