BRATTLEBORO- The Tri-Town Collectors Club will hold a coin, comic book, sports card, and postcard show at the Holiday Inn Express on Saturday, August 12, from 8:30 am to 3 pm.

Many dealers and collectors from the tri-state area meet monthly for a scholarship auction, coupled with a daylong series of hobby activities that is packed with fun for the whole family.

Besides the usual offerings of coins, currency, comic books, and sports cards, there will be a special quiz for collectors at the coin club table.

Anyone reaching into the collectable grab bag and selecting a free Indian head cent or buffalo nickel will be able to double their prize if they can say who was president in the year the coin was minted.

The Indian head cents were issued from 1859 until 1909 while the buffalo nickels were released from 1913-1938. Other door prizes will also be available for hobbyists of all ages.

This popular event continues on the second Saturday of the month. This month, three new coin collectors will be present, including a Canadian coin specialist.

There is no admission charge and anyone wishing to set up a table to sell their material may do so by calling Joe Fuller at (802) 379-2353.
