To the Editor:

Again this year, the Deerfield Valley Health Care Volunteers have received a special visit from the tooth fairy. An anonymous donor recently sent a very generous donation to cover the cost of our school dental program for this year. The DV Health Care Volunteers have sponsored this annual program for many years at the local schools. The funds provided allow the cost of teeth-cleaning to be subsidized so parents only have to pay a small amount for each child. Dental hygienists work at each school in the valley from Wardsboro to Readsboro on a predetermined schedule. Please call your child’s school for further information.

Thank you to the wonderful tooth fairy for your support of our organization and of the children of the Deerfield Valley.

DVHCV is holding our Snowshoe for Knowledge fundraiser on February 19 at The Hermitage. This event raises money for our scholarship fund, which grants annual scholarships to students in the health care field. Call (802) 464-7230 for more information about the snowshoe event. Hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

Kathy Larsen

On behalf of the Deerfield Valley Health Care Volunteers
