To the Editor:

The leadership group at Twin Valley High School would like to thank the Sitzmark for hosting our annual bonfire on Wednesday, October 10. Owner Rachel Perry showed amazing patience and flexibility as we were forced to change the date several times due to the school’s scheduling demands. Chef Mitch Soskin provided an assortment of wonderful appetizers from buffalo chicken fingers to the crowd-pleasing deep-fried mac and cheese. Thanks also go out to chaperones Sandy and Matt Murdock and Adam Bauman, as well as our bonfire crew of Ron Borys and Doug Rogers. Unfortunately our fickle Vermont weather does not garner the same kudos, but 35 fearless students braved cold temperatures and intermittent rain as they listened to DJ Jon and played a variety of games interspersed with warming up at the fire. As host to the bonfire, TVHS Leadership group was able to bring in many canned goods for the Wilmington Food Pantry. This was a wonderfully successful first event of the year for our kids.
