WINDHAM- The team at the Frendly Gathering Music Festival, led by pro snowboarders Jack Mitrani and Danny Davis, announces its greening initiatives for the fourth annual event, taking place June 27 to 28 at Timber Ridge. The festival is presented by Burton Snowboards, which returns for its second year as the presenting sponsor. With an outdoor multiday music festival, The Frendly Gathering encourages its own team, its supporters, and festival-goers to “keep it clean.”

Tucked away in the Green Mountains of southern Vermont, the fourth annual Frendly Gathering will be held at Timber Ridge, located in Windham.

One of New England’s premiere music festivals, the Frendly Gathering features a lineup of 30 musical acts ranging from rock ‘n’ roll and bluegrass to folk, jam, and electronic. Combined with camping, yoga, skateboarding, hiking, and inspiration, the festival offers a big dose of “Frendship.”

The Frendly Gathering has posted an eco-frendly commitment on their website at and has listed goals and suggestions on keeping the event green including: producing just one dumpster of trash at the most through the entire event, promoting the seven principles of Leave No Trace, encouraging carpooling, and leaving glow sticks at home, to name only a few.

Presenting sponsor Burton Snowboards also shares a strong commitment to sustainable practices, which lines up with the Frendly Gathering’s new greening mission. For years, Burton has been committed to making the brand as respected for its environmental and social impact as it is for its products. One example is how recycling, composting, and reducing energy use have all become deeply ingrained in Burton’s company culture. As a result, the company has cut waste in half at its Burlington headquarters. Burton is proud to support an event like the Frendly Gathering, which wants to lighten its impact on the environment.

The event will be held June 27 and 28, but early arrival tickets are available on Thursday, June 26.

For more information on the Frendly Gathering and to purchase tickets visit Day passes and multiday passes are available, as are camping passes.
