Below are Santa’s current plans in the area over the next few weeks. Be sure to check back each week — if Santa adds more cheer to his schedule, we’ll update this list.
Saturday, December 2
Readsboro Central School and Community Library, sometime between 8 am and noon, 301 Phelps Lane, Readsboro
During the eighth grade’s pancake breakfast, Santa will make an appearance sometime between 8 am and noon. Pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee will be served for $8 per adult and $5 per child. The event will benefit the eighth grade trip.
Dover Free Library, 3 to 5 pm, 22 Holland Road, Dover
Santa will take pictures and give out gifts while the Dover Elementary School children’s choir sings traditional holiday songs. Holiday refreshments will be available as well.
Sunday, December 3
Wardsboro Town Hall, 11 am to 2 pm, 71 Main Street, Wardsboro
Santa will arrive by firetruck at noon and will take pictures while families choose their Christmas cookies. The line for cookies starts at 11am, so don’t be late! If any families would like to donate cookies, donations will be happily accepted if they’re dropped off at the town hall by 10 am the day of the event.
Saturday, December 16
St. Mary’s in the Mountains, 3:30 pm, 13 E. Main Street, Wilmington
St. Mary’s in the Mountains will present its second annual Red Door Community Carol Sing at 3:30 pm. Beginning at 4 pm, the audience will be invited to join in with the singing, and Santa may just make an appearance.
