I am writing to endorse Miller Longbotham for election to the Wilmington Selectboard. As a former Interim Town Manager of Wilmington and a member of the Wilmington Selectboard, I know firsthand what skills, education, and experience are required to effectively deal with the many challenges of serving on the town’s selectboard. I can state with confidence that Miller possesses these traits.
I have known Miller for 10 years. During this period I have found him to be a highly intelligent, ethical, industrious, and hard-working person. His extensive financial knowledge and experience provide him with the tools extremely important to Wilmington as it continues with long-term recovery resulting from Tropical Storm Irene.
Additionally, Miller has served the valley for over seven years as an emergency medical technician with the Deerfield Valley Rescue and a member of the DVR Board of Directors.
I also had the pleasure of working closely with Miller as co-trustee of the Wilmington Congregational Church as we closed the church and successfully transferred ownership of the building to St. Mary’s-in-the-Mountains Episcopal Church thereby preserving this important historical church.
Miller is a leader and a person who gets things done without excessive and unnecessary debate. He will be an exceptional asset to the town of Wilmington.
I strongly recommend your vote for Miller Longbotham.
