WESTLAKE, OH- James J. “Josh” Boles, a longtime resident of the Deerfield Valley, died October 1 at St. John’s Medical Center from complications following surgery for heart disease. He is survived by three sisters and a brother as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

After having lived 25 years in Vermont, he returned to his home in Cleveland, when his heart problems were first diagnosed in 2004. Mr. Boles was well known as a talented singer and musician who played in several bands in the area, often with his brother Don and his friend Bob Zeman, most notably in “Summer Squash,” a band that entertained senior tour groups and others over the years.
