DEERFIELD VALLEY- In a stepping stone season for the Wildcat golf team, coach John Keegan saw improvement from his top golfers.

In their last two matches, sophomore golfers Judah Kondracki and Wyatt Shippee once again led the team, but Twin Valley fell short of qualifying for state championships.

At Taterhill, Shippee shot a 55, with Kondracki right behind at 56. At Okemo, Shippee and Kondracki recorded scores of 59 and 61 respectively. At conference sectionals on May 28, Kondracki would shoot a personal best 18 holes with a 107 score. Shippee was five behind Kondracki with a 112.

“As far as Judah and Wyatt, I think their time is coming,” said Keegan. “All of our players are becoming well rounded, and next year we have some eighth graders coming up who have promise.”

Keegan also said he wanted to thank Mount Snow and Haystack for the use of their courses for practice as well as competition.
