GREENFIELD, MA- Gloria P. (Passardi) Marchegiani, 87, died Sunday, November 11, at Baystate Franklin Medical Center. She had been residing at The Arbors for the past nine months.

Mrs. Marchegiani was born in Monroe on October 21, 1925, daughter of Arthur and Rose (Franceschetti) Passardi. She attended schools in Monroe Bridge and graduated from Drury High School. Mrs. Marchegiani worked at Deerfield Glassine in Monroe as an executive secretary for more than 40 years until her retirement. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She was the widow of Bruno C. Marchegiani, who died on October 25, 2005. They were married on June 12, 1948. Survivors include one brother, Arthur Passardi and his wife Rosemarie, of Readsboro. She also leaves one sister-in-law, Mae Passardi, of Readsboro; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A brother and a sister, Garfield Passardi and Ellen Hubley, are deceased.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Marchegiani was celebrated on Wednesday, November 14, at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial was in Village Cemetery in Readsboro. There were no calling hours.
