To the Editor

I would like to take this moment to express my thanks to Blanche Mills for her service to the town of Whitingham as a selectboard member and chairperson. Blanche was always professional at chairing the meetings and respectful to all in attendance. Those traits are what I strive as a member to carry on.

I would like to welcome the newly appointed member Robin Kingsley to the board, as I’m sure he has a lot to offer and will be an asset to the board’s success in its ability to conduct the business at hand. It’s nice to see a community member express an interest in serving in some capacity. The more diverse, the better we are served.

Also I would like to thank Dwight Williams for offering to be a member in conjuntion with his school board position. Had Robin not shown his interest several months in advance, then Dwight’s offer would have been a great option for the board. I look forward to working with Robin, and taking Dwight up on his offer to keep the selectboard up to speed with the schoolboard business.

Greg Brown

Community member and selectboard member
