To the Editor,

The Deerfield Valley Rotary Club Fund makes grants to individuals and groups to help support: community betterment, educational opportunities, educational and community service-based travel, disaster relief efforts, programs that support and assist disadvantaged community members, and purchase of equipment and supplies intended to support and assist those in need.

Each year we make dozens of grant awards worth thousands of dollars to support programs and travel by local individuals and groups. Past grant awards have included funding for community service travel by local students to Haiti and Guatemala, the Deerfield Valley Community Cares heating assistance program, and the Twin Valley High School Project Graduation.

Awards are made on a quarterly basis. Quarterly deadlines for submitting applications for funding for our current fiscal year are September 14, November 30, March 1, 2013, and May 31, 2013. Applications not received by a deadline will automatically be included in the next award cycle.

For more information about Deerfield Valley Rotary Club Fund grants and the application process we encourage applicants to contact a member of the Rotary Club. Applicants also can contact me at or (802) 490-4327.

Thank you,

John M. Gannon

President, Deerfield Valley Rotary Club Fund
