To the Editor,

The 25th annual Holiday Concert for the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry on December 13 has been postponed because Wilmington’s Memorial Hall will not be available. There is simply no other appropriate venue for this event. Though a concert can and will be rescheduled, stocking the food pantry shelves cannot be postponed. Year after year, through this gathering, people of our community have taken the opportunity to make generous contributions which are so important to so many.

One way or another, we still need to build a mountain of food.

Together with help from The Deerfield Valley News, The Bright Lights organization, The Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the town of Wilmington, we will be appealing from now through the holidays to the greater community to keep our food pantry stocked through this challenging time.

Please make direct donations to the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry, 7 Church Street, PO Box 1743, Wilmington, VT 05363.
