To the Editor,

In response to the letter to the editor by Kip Adams: Kip, you are incredibly incorrect to compare the Wilmington Police Department to the S.S. Nazi regime. The Nazi government existed to annihilate an entire race and anyone who did not fit into what they perceived to be a perfect citizen by their standards. Over six million people, including children, were killed in this campaign.

The Wilmington Police Department is doing its job. They have been hired to uphold all laws set forward by the town of Wilmington. It is very simple, do not exceed the speed limit and you will not be “stopped, harassed, or tormented” (your words not mine.) Whether a person is a local citizen or visitor, they should behave responsibly, and follow the laws. Speed limits are set to protect everyone from those who think they are above the law, and do not have to pay attention to anything except their own agendas.

Please stop whining and blaming others and take responsibility for your actions. Anything else in unacceptable.

Sue Wurzberger
