Shelving Rock is a magical blending of two experienced musicians from diverse backgrounds being able to dance to the same muse. Iachetta, the “Shaker Fiddler,” joins together with VerDant, the “folker with a rock and roll heart.” Both players are very open to whatever approach the other takes at any moment and it reveals itself in the freshness of their sound.
Shelving Rock can transcend the heights of timeless fiddle tunes from the sweet and the high-stepping, to land on their feet alongside down and dirty, high energy, blues-driven guitar grooves with rhythmic endorsement of foot-stomping drum and vocals. Alongside their well received original tunes are very creative renditions of some familiar songs.
Iachetta plays the fiddle, mandolin, claw-hammer banjo, and four-string guitar. VerDant plays the hybrid picked electrified acoustic guitar, foot drum, and provides vocals.
