Winterfest at Mount Snow - Come Out and PLAY!

Saturday, February 2

Where:

Mount Snow, VT, West Dover, VT 05356
“This event is pure fun start to finish!” said Sue Tatem, AbilityPLUS Executive Director of Programs. Ski ‘Til You Drop-A-Thon participants fundraise by having friends and family sponsor each run. “The more runs they make, the more money they earn, so it is a friendly competition to get from top to bottom as quickly as possible…” continues Tatem, “anyone can register for the ski-a-thon, and everyone is invited to the après party, whether they ski or not. We’ve got great items for people to bid on in the silent auction.” The Ski/Ride ‘Til You Drop-A-Thon is an important fundraiser for AbilityPLUS at Mount Snow. “We are very proud of the programs we offer to people with all manner of disabilities. Adaptive sports have such a positive impact on people’s lives, and we offer programs to everyone, regardless of their economic circumstances,” Sue Tatem explains. Among the many programs they offer, AbilityPLUS provides programs to area children who, due to their physical, cognitive or behavioral impairments, would otherwise not be able to participate in their school’s weekly ski/ride programs at Mount Snow.

Description:

AbilityPLUS, the non-profit that provides adaptive sports programs at Mount Snow, is gearing up for this year’s annual Winterfest fundraiser, and invites everyone to join in the fun. Winterfest at Mount Snow, to be held Saturday February 2, is a day of skiing/riding, followed by an après party with silent and live auctions, raffle, awards ceremony, and of course food and drink, all to benefit programs that help people with disabilities improve their lives through participation in athletic and recreational programs. The organization invites skiers/riders to register for the Ski/Ride Til You Drop-A-Thon, which is open to anyone of all abilities. The après party at The Lodge at Mount Snow is free of charge for all to attend. Visit www.abilityplus.org or call Sue Tatem at 800-287-8415 x4699 for more information.
