Please join the Windham County Maple Association for our annual meeting Wednesday, November 6th, at 6:30pm in the Brattleboro Savings and Loan Community room (rear entrance).  We will be joined by Mike Farrell of Cornell University who will cover topics from his new book, The Sugarmaker's Companion, including pricing and selling maple sap, marketing to create a profitable business model, and tapping birch trees for birch syrup production.

We will also be joined by Tom McCrumm of South Face Farm and J.P. Welch of Justamere Tree Farm.  They will share with us the benefits and drawbacks of having solar power assisted sugaring operations.  They will also explain how the set up works, how net metering works, and what grants and incentives may be available to Vermont producers.  They will also speak on how the finances worked out for their individual systems.
