Town to vote for scaled-down version on Thursday

WILMINGTON- Selectboard and garage committee members made their case for a new town garage under a revised financing plan at Wednesday evening’s informational meeting on a special Town Meeting that will be held at 7 pm on Wednesday, May 14, and Australian ballot vote on Thursday, May 15.

WILMINGTON- This year’s legislative session has ended without any final resolution on the fate of the Proctor Cannon.

The Civil War-era artillery piece has been the subject of a dispute between a group of Civil War re-enactors headquartered in Wilmington, and the Vermont Veterans Militia Museum and Library, which wants the piece for display on the museum floor.
